Under The Bough Paraguay
At Under The Bough, we are committed to bringing you fair-trade furnishings and décor handmade by artisans in Paraguay, using the highest quality, sustainably sourced materials. We pay attention to every detail in the process to ensure quality, heirloom pieces.
Below are the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the products (“products”) listed on our website www.underthebough.global to you (hereafter referred to as the “Terms of Sale”). Please read these Terms of Sale carefully before ordering.
By ordering from our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale.
1. About Us​
Under The Bough Paraguay (UTB Trading E.A.S.) is a company registered in Paraguay (hereafter referred to as “under the bough”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our company registration number is 80117078-8 and our registered office is at Facundo Machaín 5792, Asunción, Paraguay.
We operate the website: www.underthebough.global ("our site").

3. Payment Terms
All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping. We accept payments via bank transfer only. Orders will not be processed until payment has been received and confirmed.
For Made to Order items, a 25% deposit is required at the time of order confirmation, with the remaining balance due before shipping. A 50% deposit is required for large quantities or customized runs.
4. Shipping Terms
All sales are made on an FOB (Free on Board) basis from our facility in Paraguay. This means that once the goods are handed over to the carrier, the buyer assumes all risks and responsibilities for the shipment.
We can arrange shipping through DHL and provide a quote for courier charges upon request. However, the final choice of shipping method remains at the buyer's discretion.
5. Lead Times & Delivery
As part of our fair trade principles we allow long lead times to ensure our suppliers are not pushed beyond capacity and this can sometimes result in delays. If an item is not in stock or is Made to Order, production lead times will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.
Delivery timelines depend on the selected shipping method and the efficiency of customs clearance in the destination country.
6. Import Duties & Taxes
The buyer is solely responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees imposed by the destination country. Under The Bough is not liable for any additional costs incurred upon the arrival of the goods. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.
7. Order Changes & Cancellations
Once an order has been confirmed and payment has been received, it cannot be modified or canceled. Due to the nature of our handcrafted products, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the goods are defective upon arrival.
8. Product Variations
All of our products are either handcrafted or hand finished and sourced from natural or recycled sources. Because of the nature of the craftsmanship of our products there may be slight variations between any two of the same products. Such variations may include, but are not limited to, variations in size, weight, textures, colors and shape. These variations are to be expected and not considered defects.
The images of our Products on our site are for illustrative purposes only. While we work hard to ensure that the colors of our products are represented accurately on our site, the colors you see on our site on your computing device or smartphone (or however you view our site) may vary depending on the monitor (or other device) you use and your screen settings.
9. Claims & Damages
If goods arrive damaged due to transit, the buyer must file a claim directly with the carrier. Under The Bough is not responsible for damages occurring after the goods have been handed over to the shipping provider.
All discrepancies and defective claims must be reported within 5 days of receipt of goods and require photographic evidence to receive credit. Returns are not accepted without prior approval.
10. Privacy Policy
We collect customer information for a variety of reasons, including as part of our ongoing efforts to provide superior customer service, to improve our customers' shopping experience, and to communicate with our customers about our products, services and promotions, including those that we believe may be of particular interest to you based on information we have collected. We collect personal information such as your name, telephone number, e-mail and mailing address (“Personal Information”) that you provide to us when you save your information with us. We use this information to process any transaction, inquiry or promotion that you initiate with us. We maintain a record of your product interests, purchases and whatever else might enable us to enhance and personalize your shopping experience on this site and to provide you with offers, promotions or information that we believe may be of interest to you. We do not sell or share this information under any circumstances.

In addition, we monitor use of the site and traffic patterns to improve the Site design and the products and services we offer as well as to determine what offers, promotions or information to send to you.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Paraguay. Any disputes arising from wholesale transactions will be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction within Paraguay.
